Thomas Blackmon was selected as one of 400 finalists to present at ArtFields, a Southern artfest competition and celebration to be held on April 19-28 in Lake City. Blackmon’s piece, “Livery Stable Courtyard” will be presented at the show.

 

Clarendon School District 1 hosted a music program to celebrate the National Association for Music Education’s Music in Our Schools Month on March 28 at the Summerton Cultural Arts Center.

 

I usually start this article off with some observance about the weather. I have completely given up on celebrating spring, welcoming winter back or needing an umbrella and/or a wind screen. Wear a hat, dress in layers and if you are wearing flip flops already, beware of frost bite.
