Citizen Celebrations

Sisters Rhyan Gaff (on far right), 10, Avery Gaff (middle), 6, and Alyssa Gaff (left), 6, donated their hair to Locks of Love and the Pantene Beautiful Links Program in honor of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 

Members of the Manning Council of Garden Clubs met on Dec. 3 to place a poinsettia in each office at the County Administrative Building.

 

The Virginia’s Pride Garden Club met on Nov. 13 in the Breedin Garden Room with 18 members present, along with two visitors, Carol Ardis Evans and June McCormick. A delicious apple cranberry pie was served by our hostesses Arena Perry and Mary Queen. The table was adorned with a bucket arrangement of gardening supplies that was used as the door prize and won by Jean Mahoney. Mary Queen gave a devotion entitled “Would you pray for me?”

 

Several Clarendon County students have enrolled at Clemson University for the fall semester.

 

The Pink Dogwood Garden Club of Summerton met Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Ginger’s Flower Shop. Ellen Ardis answered members’ questions on making arrangements and decorating. The arrangements in the shop were beautiful and everyone left with great ideas for Christmas decorating.

 

The Azalea Ball will present three debutantes on Jan. 5, 2013, at the Cypress Center. 

Haley Lynne Graham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tad Chad Graham, will be presented by her father and escorted by John William Graham and Anthony Ryan Feliciano.

McKenzie Marshall Prothro, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Stroman Prothro, will be presented by her father and escorted by William Stroman Prothro Jr., and Evan Campbell Prothro. 

Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Gardner of Turbeville are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Hannah Lynn Gardner, Born at 7 p.m., Oct. 6, 2012 at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.
