There are many ways people can use God’s will to help others in need.

 

Over the summer, several Clarendon County churches will pick up saws, hammers, paint, shingles, drywall, insulation, flooring and bags of concrete to spread God’s word and make better lives for others.

 

Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was formed in 1910 in Alcolu, SC. The congregation first met in the Trinity (Alcolu) School house. Alcolu was a sawmill village developed by the D. W. Alderman and Son’s Lumber Company. Many people in the community worked directly or indirectly for the Alderman Lumber company. Most of the founding members of Trinity Church were farmers who lived and farmed in the area of Clarendon County surrounding the community of Alcolu.
