“It’s definitely an icebreaker,” the Rev. Robert Jolly, new pastor at Sardinia Presbyterian Church, said Jan. 20 with a smile.

Last year was a busy year for the Jollys.

Macedonia Fire Baptized Holiness Church, located in the Silver Community of Manning, will hold their Pastor’s Aide Program at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 26. The Rev. Curtis Canty, pastor of Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church, Pamplico, will be the guest speaker along with his choir.

 

Mt. Zion AME Church

Historic Mt. Zion AME Church, located below Davis Station, will hold their Annual Women’s Day Celebration at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 19. Guest speaker will be Evangelist Beatrice Mouzone, First Lady of Macedonia Baptist Church in Manning.

 

Pinewood Baptist Church

Pinewood Baptist Church will hold its Vacation Bible School Sunday, June 9, 6-9 p.m. and Monday, June 10 through Thursday, June 13, 6:30-9 p.m. VBS is for ages 3 through adult. VBS will conclude Friday, June 15, with Family Night and Commencement held at 6:30 p.m. followed by supper.
