Walker-Gamble Elementary School’s faculty and staff recognized the schools regular helpers during National Volunteer Week. WGE’s teachers and classes nominated 27 volunteers for recognition.
These volunteers have made significant contributions of time and involvement throughout the school year, according to Principal Sheila Floyd. “Some volunteers just started with their work with the school this year, while others are veteran volunteers with up to 12 years of service.” Floyd presented the volunteers with gifts and certificates on behalf of the children, faculty and staff.
