Virginia Morris Webster

Virginia Morris Webster, 87, widow of Ashton L. Webster, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence.

Born July 19, 1924, in New Zion, she was the daughter of the late Julius Wilkins and Ila Barrow Morris. She loved God and she loved her family. She was a lifetime member of Union Baptist Church at New Zion.

Surviving are a daughter, Marsha Baker of Florence; a sister, Billie Jean Matthews (William) of Scranton; three grandchildren, Kena Floyd Dill (Erik) of Elgin, Bryan Floyd of Sumter, and Nicholas Lynn Floyd of Charlotte, N.C.; and a great-grandson, Alex Brandon Floyd of Florence.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisha Floyd; a grandson, Chad Floyd; a brother, Ray Morris; and a sister, Helen Gibbons.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, with the Reverend Bobby Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery at New Zion.

Pallbearers will be Erik Dill, Rick Rainwater, Nicholas Lynn Floyd, Benton Blakely, Terry Benton and Brian Hudson.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday prior to the funeral service.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carolina Home Health and Hospice and to her caregivers, Sandy, Shauna and Debbie.
