Thelma Miller Dupree, 97, widow of John Dupree, died Friday, July 27, 2012, at her residence in Manning. She was born March 16, 1915, in Clarendon County. She’s the daughter of the late Fleet Miller and Alma King Miller.
She received her formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Biggers A.M.E. Church where she served as a Stewardess, Missionary and member of the Homecoming Committee.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Dupree and one daughter, Annie Sabb, siblings, Carrie Joye, Irene Doctor and Robert Miller.
Survivors are three daughters, Mary Lou Pritchett, Leola (Ephraim) Segar and Mattie Dutton; one sister-in-law Isabell Miller; 24 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Remains will placed in the church 10 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, with services beginning at 11 a.m. at Biggers A.M.E. Church, Kingstree Hwy., Manning.
Burial will follow in the Muldrow Cemetery, Kingstree Hwy., Manning.

The family is receiving friends at the residence 606 West Huggins St., Manning.
