The Turbeville Dixie Debs, 3-0 in the 2012 Dixie Girls Softball State Championship, lost to Dillon on July 18 in Turbeville, 4-3.

The loss gave them a tie with Dillon and Georgetown for the state championship. Turbeville drew a bye and will play the winner of the 5 p.m. Dillon-Georgetown game at 7 p.m. today at Smith Field in Turbeville for the state championship.

The trophy presentation will follow tonight’s game.

T’ville Ponytails X-Play in Semis

Turbeville 11/Andrews 1

The Turbeville Ponytails X-Play, 2-1 in the 2012 Dixie Girls Softball State Championships, defeated Andrews on July 18 in Turbeville, 11-1.

Turbeville will play in the semifinals against Sumter at 5 p.m. today at Smith Field in Turbeville. A Turbeville win will place them in the championship game against the winner of tonight’s Dillon-Pee Dee game at 10 a.m. July 20 at Smith Field in Turbeville.

The trophy presentation will follow Friday’s game.

Clarendon County Ponytails in final

Clarendon County 12/Lake Marion 0

The Clarendon County Ponytails, 2-1 in the 2012 Dixie Girls Softball State Championships, defeated Lake Marion on July 18 in Turbeville, 12-0.

With their one loss, Clarendon County will need to defeat Starr-Iva twice to win state. Clarendon County will play Starr-Iva in the final at 5 p.m. today at Smith Field in Turbeville. If a second game is necessary, it will be played 30 minutes after the first game ends.

The trophy presentation will follow tonight’s games.
