Stolen car wrecked in Orangeburg County

On Oct. 6, Clarendon County Sheriff’s deputy Nakia Cooper responded to Goslin Pond Road in reference to a stolen car. The vehicle owner told Cooper the car was stolen around 7:20 p.m. Later that night, the South Carolina Highway Patrol identified the car as having been in an accident in the Orangeburg area and the driver had fled the scene. The car was valued at $7,500.
