SCHP needs help locating truck

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking for assistance in locating a white 2000-2007 Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra pickup with passenger side damage and the passenger side mirror missing that was involved in a hit and run on Interstate 95 on June 8, according to Lance Cpl. Brent Kelly with the SCHP.

The pickup was involved in a collision with a UPS tractor trailer around 3:45 p.m. June 8. The tractor trailer and pickup were traveling southbound on Interstate 95. The collision at mile marker 141 in Sumter County caused the tractor trailer to overturn and the pickup fled the scene.

Hit and run cases are heinous crimes and the perpetrators should be caught in order to avoid further such accidents. Lets hope they police are successful in their hunt.
