Queen E. Fulton Frierson, 68, widow of Albert Leroy Frierson Sr., died July 12, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.
Born June 4, 1942, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Louis Sr. and Hester Martin Fulton. She received her formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County. At an early age, she joined Mount Calvary Fire Baptized Holiness Church, where she served as president of the junior missionary department and president of the senior usher board. She worked at Manning High School, Campbell Soup, Tufco and Hardees.
Survivors are two sons, Albert Leroy (Martha) Frierson of Alcolu and David Earl Frierson of Suitland, Md.; two daughters, Jackie (Leroy) Wilson and Cindy (Johnny) Taylor, both of Manning; four brothers, Louis Fulton Jr. and Johnnie (Elease) Fulton, both of Manning, McNeal Fulton of Suitland and Albert (Jackie) Fulton of Washington, D.C.; an adopted daughter, Lynn Samuels; an aunt, Leola Martin; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Zero Missionary Baptist Church, 7827 Paxville Highway, Manning, with the Rev. Henry Presley, pastor, Elder Keith Smith Sr., presiding, Pastor Keith Smith Jr., eulogist, assisting the Rev. Etherleen Bethune, the Rev. Ethel W. Sweat and Minister Paul Green. Burial was at Mount Zero Missionary Baptist Church.
Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning, was in charge of the services.
