Post 68 Juniors still in state hunt

The Manning-Santee Juniors will play Waccamaw’s Juniors at 7 p.m. tonight at Waccamaw for a chance to advance to the American Legion Juniors state championship series.

After winning the first round of the Lower State American Legion state playoff action against Mullins, M-S was swept by West Florence in the second round of playoff action moving West Florence into the state championship round.

M-S, Waccamaw, Sumter and Cheraw were all losers in the second round of the Lower State playoffs. Those four teams will play each other in a two-game playoff to determine which team will advance to the state championship.

M-S will play Waccamaw tonight while Sumter takes on Cheraw tonight in Camden.

The winners of tonight’s games will play each other Friday night with the winner advancing to the state championship series.
