Pearl Kennedy Cousar

Pearl Kennedy Cousar, 83, widow of Rannie Cousar, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning. She was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Clarendon County, a daughter of the late Willie Kennedy and Adelle Muldrow Burgess Kennedy.

She received her formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Melina Presbyterian Church and served faithfully as a Deaconess and a member of the Presbyterian Women Organization and the Older Adult Committee.

Survivors are three daughters, Blondell Cousar, Julia Cousar and Patrice (Bobby) Harrison, two sons, Rannie Cousar Jr. and Joesph (Debbie) Cousar; one sister, Cora Lee Wheeler; two brothers, William Albert Kennedy and Junious (Drene) Kennedy; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The celebratory services for Mrs. Pearl Kennedy Cousar will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Melina Presbyterian Church, Gable, Rev. Samuel Sparks, pastor, Rev Carnell Hampton, officiating, Rev. Mary Hagan, Dr. Gina Aboagye, and Oversee Bennett Aboagye, assisting.

Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Mrs. Cousar will lie in repose one hour prior to service.

The family is receiving friends at her residence, 13819 Hwy. 301, Gable.
