Mattie Margaret McCall Logan

Mattie Margaret McCall Logan passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.

 Born June 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mattie Nichols McCall, and was married to the late Sam Oliver Logan. She was a member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was well known for her Sunday dinners and homemade biscuits.

Surviving are five sons, Wayne (Vickie) Logan of Manning, Larry Logan of Manning, Andrew “Bucky” Logan, Ronnie Logan, and Kevin (Dawn) Judy all of Alcolu; two daughters, Evelyn “Tutti” Logan of Alcolu, and Pamela Collins of Manning; a brother, Johnny McCall of Alcolu; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Pee Wee Logan; a daughter, Jessie Ruth Judy; and twins, Faye and Ray Logan.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 25, 2010, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, with the Revs. William Kevin Cribb and Sammy Thompson officiating.

Burial followed in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
