Grab your camera, head to Manning and snap a picture of what you consider to be one of the city’s hidden gems.
Your photograph may be a prize winner.
Manning’s hidden gems could be anything from cornices, columns, transom windows, domes, rosettes, building dates, ceiling tiles/medallions, memorials, tiled entrances, granite, interesting knobs or pulls – exterior or interior and arches to fanlights, historic signs and the fox in the Swamp Fox murals.
The Photo Scavenger Hunt is being hosted by Main Street Manning on its Facebook page.
The contest is open to everyone with only a few rules:
What historic detail do you consider to be Manning’s hidden gem?
Log onto Main Street Manning on Facebook. The photograph with the most likes
will be the winner of a prize to be determined by Main Street Manning. The winner will be announced on June 1.
For more information on the contest, contact Carrie Trebil at (803) 435-8477.
Start snapping away. Photographs are being added every day. Log on and pick your favorite hidden gem photo.
The hidden gem in the above photograph was revealed in early April by workers who were repairing the façade at Goody’s that had been damaged by wind.
