Lynn Ray Tidwell

Lynn Ray Tidwell, 66, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at his home in Manning.

Born May 4, 1946, in Bishopville, he was the son of the late Allen Andrew Tidwell and the late Hattie Marie Coulter Tidwell. He was a retired carpenter, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and attended Seacoast Church in Manning.

He is survived by a daughter, Debra Scott (Rodney) of Charlotte, N.C., a son, Michael Tidwell (Mona) of Rembert, a daughter Christy Arrants (Dale) of Sumter and a daughter Tara Moye (Bobby) of Sumter; two brothers, J.C. Tidwell and Leo Tidwell; two sisters, Mattie Copeland and Ethel Burgett; six grandchildren, Spencer and Sydney Scott, Jonathan and Brianna Tidwell, Chad Arrants and Brittney Moye.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Tommy and Joyce Welch of Manning.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Pec Chatham officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
