Larry Mitchel Green

Larry Mitchel Green, 74, husband of Ada Mae Green, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Tuomey Hospital.

Born Aug. 12, 1938, in Altoona, Pa., he was the son of the late Alvin Vermont Green and the late Mary Catherine Miller Green.

He is survived by his wife of Manning; two daughters, Vikki Lynn Valenzuela (Michael) of Florida and Carla Michelle Pope (Tommy) of Alabama; four stepchildren, William Parker, Charlie Parker (Karen), Ben Parker (Vanessa) and Connie Parker (Chris Francis); three brothers, David Green (Debra) of Sumter, Tom Green (Beverly) of Kankeekee, Ill., and Bill Green (Karen) of Altoona, Pa.; and two sisters, Donna Arnold of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Linda Kyanko (Paul) of Barton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Green.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, in Cook Cemetery in Lake City with Rev. Pec Chatham officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.

Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N. Church St., Manning, is in charge of arrangements.
