Clarendon Hall’s Lady Saints lost a close game to Wardlaw’s Lady Patriots in the first game of the SCISA 1A Softball State Championship on May 15 at Wardlaw, 9-8.

Clarendon Hall’s problems on defense resulted in six errors and six unearned runs.

The Lady Saints’ Katelyn Carlisle was 2 for 4 with one RBI, Gracyn Royce was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Kaitlyn Sawyer was 3 for 4.

The Lady Saints will play tonight in the second game of the SCISA 1A Softball State Championship at 6 p.m. at home.

If the Lady Saints win tonight, they’ll head back to Wardlaw on Thursday for the final game.
