“Alexus has been a little hesitant to shoot the ball once she misses,” Lady Wolverine Coach James Green said Monday. “I’ve been encouraging her to shoot more and she had a good game. I hope that carries on into our conference games.”
Green said his Lady Wolverine team has two returning starters and three players who saw limited action last year and three of the starting five are seniors.
“We’re young in terms of court time,” he said. “But we’re a good team.”
On Jan. 10, the Lady Wolverines will face off against C.E. Murray in Greeleyville and on Jan. 13, the Scott’s Branch Lady Eagles visit Turbeville.
“C.E. Murray is a tough team,” Green said. “They beat Manning in overtime. But, I believe that if we play good basketball we’ll have the opportunity to come away with a win. We can beat C.E. Murray, but we’re going to have to play good basketball to do it.”
