Laurence Manning’s Lady Cats brought out the big bats against Robert E. Lee’s Lady Cavaliers on April 17, in Bishopville, 12-1.
The Lady Cats scored one run in the first, second and fourth innings. They added three runs in the third inning, two runs in the sixth inning and four runs in the seventh.
LMA scored 12 runs on eight hits and committed two errors, while Robert E. Lee scored one run on two hits and picked up four errors.
Lady Cats’ Grace Beatson picked up the win, giving up just two hits and striking out 10 with no walks.
Martinna Weber had a solo homerun. Brittany Huggins had two doubles and one RBI. Emily McElveen had one single and a double. Mary Michael Windham had a single.
Lady Barons - 4 (8 ings)/Lady Cats -2
Errors hurt Laurence Manning’s Lady Cats late in an eight-inning game against Wilson Hall’s Lady Barons on April 19, at home, 4-2.
The Lady Cats scored one run in the second and another run in the sixth. The Lady Barons scored one run in the fifth, one run in the seventh and their winning runs on two hits in the eighth.
LMA scored two runs on five hits and committed three errors, while Wilson Hall scored four runs on seven hits and committed no errors.
LMA’s Grace Beatson got the loss.
Brittany Huggins had a triple and one RBI. Emily McElveen had a single and one RBI. Beatson had two singles and Hannah Hodges had a hit.
Lady Cats - 5/Lady Stallions - 4
The Lady Cats squeaked out a win against Williamsburg’s Lady Stallions on April 20, at home, 5-4.
The Lady Cats scored three runs in the fourth, one run in the fifth and seventh to pickup the win. The Lady Stallions made the game close scoring one run in the third, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
The Lady Cats scored five runs on eight hits with one error, while the Lady Stallions scored four runs on seven hits and picked up five errors.
Lady Cats’ Grace Beatson picked up the win.
Emily McElveen and Martinna Weber each had a single, while Dixie Richburg had two singles and a double.
The Lady Cats are currently 4-1 in conference play.
