Julia Davis

Julia Frances Davis, 87, wife of Arvin Davis Sr., died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at her home.

Born in Bishopville, she was a daughter of the late Frank Edward Hall and Jennie Marie Boykin Hall.

Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two sons, Donnie (Joan) Davis of Summerton, Arvin “Buddy” (Cindy) Davis of Sumter; three daughters, Jeanette (Bob) Moye, Deborah (Eddie Coker) Frierson, and Judy (Bill) Ardis, all of Sumter; three brothers, Herbert Hall of Chester, Harris Hall of Summerton and Frank J. Hall of Mississippi; one sister, Dorothy Albrighton of Sumter; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 20 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Tanner and the Rev. Donnie Collins officiating.

Burial was in the Zoar Community Cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.
