Hidden offers his patients extended hours

Manning Medicines’s Preeti Mehta and Dr. Glen Hidden in the records room of the clinic. Dr. Hidden and staff will be offering extended hours for working people and parents who have sick children.Born in New Hampshire and then living in a desolate area of the rugged 49th state of the union, when Glen Hidden took on his graduate education, it wasn’t surprising that he sought a place that brought with it a little warmer climate.

After doing undergraduate work at the University of Alaska, he went to Valdosta State University and was admitted to the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he studied family medicine.

After his completing his education, Hidden practiced in and around Augusta and Valdosta.

“I also did a stint in emergency room and I found that I missed the relationships that I formed with my patients,” Hidden noted. “Family medicine offers me a great variety in practicing medicine ... more than a specialty does. I really like sports medicine and combined with weight management, it makes for an interesting practice.”

Hidden says he really loves kids, too.

“I think I am a good listener and a compassionate physician,” he added.  “With my ER training, I can quickly determine whether something is about to fall apart or not.”

To that end, Doctor Hidden has asked that Manning Medicine offer extended hours for working people and parents who have sick children.

“Illness doesn’t have a schedule,” Dr. Hidden added.

Manning Medicine’s new hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Joining Doctor Hidden on his medical staff are two Manning Medicine veterans, Gina Wilson, MN, RN, CS, FNP; and Todd Culclasure, FNP-C.

The Manning Medicine practice is located in the Cypress Center in Suite 4 and is currently accepting new patients.
