Harry Allen Andrews

Harry Allen Andrews, 59, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Tuomey Healthcare System, Sumter. He was born Sept. 6, 1953, in Clarendon County, a son of the late Henry Adams and Susan Solomon Andrews.

Harry attended Scott Branch High School before starting his career as a Truck Driver. He worked for Medas Shipping and Taubus Furniture Store. He moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1980.

Survivors are his wife, Essie Nelson Andrews; two daughters, Tawanda (Wayne) Richards and Jennifer (Eric) Fredrick; two sons, Harry and Sampson Andrews; four brothers; Fory (Lula Mae) King, Henry (Virginia) Andrews Jr., Marion and Albertus Andrews; three sisters, Lucille (Lawrence) Medas, Juline (John) Brailsford, and Margaree (James) White; mother-in-law, Sarah Nelson; two sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; nine grandchildren.

Celebratory services for Mr. Harry Allen Andrews will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at the Hayes F. & LaNelle J. Samuels Jr. Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mary Lou Brailsford officiating, assisted by Elder James Robinson.

The family is receiving friends at the home of the late Henry And Susan Andrews, 12 Lincoln Ave., Summerton.
