Graded Columbus Felder, 81, widower of Helen Felder, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Easter Memorial Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa. He was born May 5, 1932, in Clarendon County, a son of the late Joe and Eliza Mack Felder.
Educated in the public schools of Sumter County, he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
He was employed by Palmer Rossi Construction and D’Angelo Brothers and Company until he retired.
He was a life-long member of Faith Emmanuel Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pa., where he served on the Fellowship Choir, Usher Board and Starlight Club.
Survivors are his children Gregory (Faith) Felder of Ashburn, Va., Tonya (Thomas) Hannah of Alberdeen, Md., and Tracey L. Felder of Phildelphia, Pa.; two sisters: Cosatella Pack and Alice Holmes both of Sumter; a sister-in-law, Eula Mae Felder of Phildelphia, Pa.; two grandchildren, Havillyn Felder and Thomas Hannah.
Celebratory services for Mr. Felder will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Hayes F. & LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church Street, Manning. Rev. Carnell Witherspoon, pastor of Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Manning, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his sister, Costella F. Pack, 560 Old Manning Road, Manning.
