Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wayne Goodson of Daniels, W.Va., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Dawn Goodson of Indian Trail, N.C., to Henry Plowden Bozard Jr. of Manning, son of Dr. and Mrs. Henry Plowden Bozard of Manning.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Goodson of Welch, W.Va., and Mr. Sam Jones Jr. and Ms. Helen Margaret Carter of Princeton, W.Va.
She graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in elementary education, and earned her master’s degree in reading and school counseling from West Virginia University.
She is employed as a teacher at Waxhaw Elementary, in Waxhaw, N.C.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Asbury Cecil Bozard of Manning and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Hudson of Columbia.
He graduated from Wofford College with a degree in political science.
He is employed as an insurance agent with DuRant Insurance in Manning.
The wedding is planned for June 9, 2012, at Manning United Methodist Church in Manning.
