George Lauren Baker

George Lauren Baker, 49, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

Born Oct. 29, 1960, in Florence, he was the son of the late Thurman W. and Ina Mae Owens Baker. He was an electrician.

Surviving are a brother, Ray D. (Ann) Baker of Summerton; a sister, Nancy B. Lee of Turbeville; two nephews, David Baker and Wade Baker; a niece, Mandy McLaughlin; and two great-nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in First Baptist Church of Turbeville, with the Rev. Robert Craven officiating.
