Gene Geddings

Marion Eugene “Gene” Geddings, 66, died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Marion Clifton and Essie Dubose Geddings. Mr. Geddings was a member of Pinewood United Methodist Church and was a retired automobile mechanic. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

Surviving are a son, Marion E. Geddings Jr. of Pinewood; a daughter, Mimi Bouillon of Sumter; a sister, Darlene Benton of Home Branch; and two grandsons, Benjamin and Gregory Bouillon.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Pinewood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mickey Bell officiating.

Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and Crematory of Sumter was in charge of the arrangements.
