ECHS baseball finishes 6-2 in region

East Clarendon - 11/C.E. Murray - 1

East Clarendon Wolverines defeated C.E. Murray War Eagles in four innings on April 17, at home, 11-1.

The Wolverines had 11 runs on eight hits and one error to the War Eagles’ one run on two hits and five errors.

Ryan Knowlton was the winning pitcher, striking out 10 and giving up two hits.

Zach Graham went 2 for 3 with a triple. Peyton Coker was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Adam Lowder was 1 for 2 with a triple and an RBI. Steven Cox was 1 for 2 with an RBI. Knowlton was 1 for 2 with an RBI. Jared Hair was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.

East Clarendon - 3/Hannah-Pamplico - 1

East Clarendon Wolverines defeated the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders on April 19, at Hannah-Pamplico, 3-1.

The Wolverines had three runs on three hits with no errors. Hannah-Pamplico had one run on five hits and two errors.

Kemper Cannon was the winning pitcher. He pitched five innings giving up four hits, striking out five and walking three.

Jared Hair got the save for the Wolverines. Hair pitched two innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.

Zach Graham, Dane Smith and Reed Coker were all 1 for 2, while Steven Cox was 0 for 2 with one RBI on a squeeze play.

The Wolverines finished the season second in the region with a conference record of 6-2 and 8-6 overall. They will host Lake View on April 26, at home in the district double elimination playoffs For their second game, the Wolverines will play the number one or number four seed on April 28, with location to be determined.
