The Turbeville Dixie Angels All Star 10-and-under softball team won the Sub-District III tournament held June 18-22, in Pamplico.
The Angels played five games winning all five to become Sub-District III Champions. The 10-and-under All Stars’ bats were smoking as they outscored their opponents 72-11 in the tournament.
On June 18, the Angels defeated Clarendon County 18-4. On June 19, they defeated Johnsonville 12-1. On June 20, they defeated Florence 12-2. On June 21, they defeated Pamplico 13-0. On June 22, they defeated Florence 8-4.
The girls are undefeated in the season.
The Angels defeated Darlington on June 25, in Florence in the double-elimination district championship. The Angels will play in the winner’s bracket on June 26, at 7 p.m.
The Dixie Angels played in the World Series two years ago. This year’s lineup is comprised of many of the same players from the World Series’ team.
