Some Clarendon County softball and baseball teams have already begun their post-season play while others are still waiting for their time on the diamond.
The East Clarendon Lady Wolverines defeated the Green Sea Floyds Lady Trojans 6-3 on April 29 in the first round of the state playoffs.
On April 30, they easily downed the Hardeeville Lady Hurricanes 25-0.
With that win, they will host the championship game for the region today at 6 p.m. against Hardeeville or Green Sea Floyds.
The Manning High School Lady Monarchs defeated the Waccamaw Lady Warriors 6-5 on April 29 then lost on April 30 to the Hanahan Lady Hawks 3-1.
The Clarendon Hall Lady Saints edged the Newberry Academy Lady Eagles 3-2 on April 25.
They will be on the road on May 3.
The Laurence Manning Lady Swampcats will play at home at 5 p.m. Friday.
The Scott’s Branch Lady Eagles were defeated 7-0 by the Lake View Lady Gators April 27.
The East Clarendon Wolverines’ baseball team defeated the Green Sea Floyds Trojans 12-6 on April 28 in the first round of the playoffs and followed up with a 14-0 shutout win over Allendale-Fairfax on April 30.
The Manning High School Monarchs fell to the Bishop England Battling Bishops 11-0 on April 30.
Manning played host to Dillon in an elimination game of their tournament on Monday; however results were unavailable at press time.
The Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats defeated the Heathwood Hall Highlanders 10-4 April 27.
On Monday, they played a double-header against the Cardinal Newman Cardinals; however results were unavailable at press time.
The Clarendon Hall Saints played a best of three series against the Coastal Christian Cougars Monday; however results were unavailable at press time.
