Clark H. Williams

Clark Howell Williams, 74, beloved husband of 54 years to Evelyne Huisse Williams, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Duke University Hospital.

Born Sept. 17, 1935, in Pearson, Okla., he was a son of the late Roy and Laconia Williams. Mr. Williams retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He later worked in retail of commercial office furniture. He was an avid golfer and loved the sport of baseball. He loved and cherished his family and will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Matthew Gregory Williams of Manning; a daughter, Cindy Williams (Larry) Tickel of Dalzell; a sister, Jean Williams Turner of Modesto, Calif.; three grandchildren, Robbie, Matthew and Jason; and a great-grandchild, Marlee.

A graveside service with full military honors was held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Newton Brown officiating.
