Cheryl Cherice Adams Malone was born Oct. 15, 1972, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was raised by the late Junious and Carrie Green; was the biological daughter of Jerry Adams and the late Stephanie Malone; and was the adoptive daughter of the late Willette White. She died on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia.
Minister Cheryl Adams Malone was educated at Scott’s Branch High School, where she was a member of the graduating class of 1990. She furthered her education at Central Carolina Technical College, where she received her CNA license and became a licensed practical nurse. She was working towards receiving her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and served as a member at Newlight Baptist Church of Davis Station for many years. There she served as the youth Sunday school teacher and went on to accept the call God had over her life as a minister. Cheryl then excelled further in her ministry as God led her to Blessed Assurance Outreach Ministries, where she was currently serving as Sunday school teacher and active associate minister.
She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, niece and cousin. She was loved by many.
She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Stephanie Malone; parents, Junious and Carrie Green; and adoptive mother, Willette White.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: father, Jerry Adams of New York; two devoted children of the home, Stefanie Mack and Keyonti Pleasant; two brothers, Todd (Pearline) White of Louisburg, N.C., and Kareem White of Brooklyn; a sister, Jasmine White of Brooklyn; eight aunts and uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Blessed Assurance Outreach Ministries, 104 S. Sumter St., Sumter, with Apostle Dr. Mary Scott Nelson, eulogist, assisted by Elder Berna Green, presiding, Dr. Mamie Archer, the Rev. Johnnie Lawson and Pastor Sylvia Wright.
Burial will follow in Summerton Funeral Service Cemetery.
