CH shuts out Trinity Collegiate to celebrate homecoming

Even two 70-yard touchdowns called back for holding penalties didn't slow down the Saint's offense in a homecoming football night to remember at Clarendon Hall on Friday, Oct. 14. The Saints shut out Trinity Collegiate 50-0, to continue their undefeated season. They are now 8-0.

The Saints totaled 482 yards.

Top rushers were Waymon Hall who ran for 228 yards on eight carries and scored three touchdowns. QB Hunter Hodges ran for 59 yards on three carries and one touchdown. Hodges went 3-3 with 117 yards passing and one touchdown.  Justice Beach rushed for 27 yards on five carries and Tommy Green had 28 yards on five carries.

Jacob Corbett caught a 76-yard pass for a touchdown, and Cameron Cogdill caught a 38-yard pass.

Other touchdowns came from Cogdill, and Harrellson.

Defensively this was a very hard hitting game.

The Saints defense was all over the field, as they should be and lots of guys got into the tackle count.  Leading the list were Hodges and Hall who each had seven, followed by Green with six and Mason Miles with five.  Miles and Hodges both had interceptions.

The Saints scored in the first quarter 8-0, added 34 points in the second,  and another eight in the fourth to make the final score 50-0.

The Homecoming Queen was Katelyn Carlisle, and the runner up was her twin sister, Kelsey Carlisle.

The Saints are away next week at Beaufort Academy. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
