
Bryant Howard, 46, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his residence in New York. He was born June 29, 1966, in Queens, N.Y., a son of Mrs. Tomasena Richburg Howard and the late Lewis Haward.
In his youth, he attended Brown Memorial Baptist Church with his parents.
Bryant excelled in school, graduating with numerous honors and scholarships from Abraham Lincoln High School, Coney Island, N.Y. in 1984.
He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., graduating with honors in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Behaviors Neuroscience.
Bryant worked for New York University Medical Center for over 20 years. At the time of his death, he was an Assistant Research Scientist in the Brain Research Lab of the Psychiatry Department.
He is survived by his loving mother, Tomasena Howard of Manning; a brother, Kenneth Lewis Richburg Howard-EL of Queens, N.Y.; grandmother, Edith Reed of Manning; aunts, Shirley (Charles) Taylor of Boynton Beach, Fla., Bertha Reed of S, Ozone Park, N.Y., Jesse Humes, Mary (Washington) Dingle, Janice Reed Coney, Sandra Liddell, Elaine Reed McConico all of Manning, and Bobbie (Winston) Beharrie of Dumfries, Va., and one uncle, Tommy (Lynn) Murray of Columbia.
Remains will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Manning.
Rev. Lucretia Pugh, Pastor, officiating, Rev. Dr. Cokley Richburg, Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Richburg and Rev. Ruth Ceasar, assisting.
Burial will follow in the Grace Memorial Gardens, Manning.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his mother, 31 West End St., Manning.
