Manning native Brittany Garrett, daughter of Randy and Barbara Garrett, also of Manning, was the recipient of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety Employee of the Quarter Award and the South Carolina Highway Patrol Civilian Employee of the Quarter Award, for actions above and beyond in the performance of her day-to-day duties as a telecommunications operator with the S.C. Highway Patrol. Garrett is pictured with Captain M.A. Burgess, Colonel M.O. Oliver and Deputy Director N.A. Smith.
