Booker T. Fleming Jr.

Booker T. Fleming Jr., 63, widower of Geneva Davis Fleming, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.

Born June 6, 1946, in Manning, he was a son of Everlena Bennett Fleming and the late Booker T. Fleming Sr. He was a graduate of Manning Training School. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Biggers AME Church. He was a founder of Fleming Fencing Co.

Survivors are his mother, Everlena Bennett Fleming of Manning; two sons, Alexander (Carolyn) Thompson of Manning and Johnnie Lee Fleming Brogdon of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Ayanna Fleming of Manning and Angie (Mike) Milnes of Tallahssee, Fla.; two brothers, Henry (Carolyn) Fleming and Dave (Lottie) Fleming, both of Manning; three sisters, Shirley Canty of Manning, Lydia (Earl) Wilson of Miami and Bobbie Wilson of Claremont, N.C.; six grandchildren; four aunts; and one uncle.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Biggers AME Church in Manning, with the Rev. Andrew Jordan, pastor, officiating, the Rev. Mattie Mouzon, presiding, assisting the Rev. Dr. Micheal Richburg and Evangelist Lorraine Lemon.

Burial was in the Muldrow Cemetery.

Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
