Bessie Wilson Brock, widow of Mood Brock, died on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.
Born April 26, 1921, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., she was a daughter of the late Dozier and Sally Beasley Wilson. Her education was obtained in the public schools of Clarendon County. She was a member of Friendship AME Church, Silver community.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth (Castine) Ridgill of Manning, and Margaret Ann Brock and Teressa Brock, both of the Silver community; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Brock; one daughter, Odell Burns; four sisters, Maggie, Bell, Rena and Ida; and one brother, Willie.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Friendship AME Church in the Silver community, with the pastor, the Rev. Harvey Sutton, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dr. James Stukes.
Interment followed in Friendship AME Church cemetery.
