$1,500 in counterfeit traveler’s checks

On May 30, Manning Police Cpl. Creighton Cheek spoke with the complainant at a local retail store about three counterfeit American Express traveler’s checks. The complainant told Cheek the bank advised the store that all three checks were counterfeit. The checks were each for $500.
