‘Operation Roundup’ a huge success

UPDATE: Operation roundup nets two more arrests.

Darryl Joshua Watson, 32, of Summerton was arrested late Thursday on one count of distribution of marijuana.

Brandon James Bartlette, 19, of Alcolu was arrested Friday on one count of distribution of an imitation controlled substance.

The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for 19-year-old Marquel Demone Grant of Alcolu for one count of distribution of marijuana.

The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office assisted by agents from the State Law Enforcement Division, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the Clarendon County Drug Task Force conducted Operation Roundup on Feb. 9.

“It was a good operation,” Clarendon County Sheriff Randy Garrett said Thursday afternoon. “We hit several areas at the same time and rounded them up. Everyone working together got the job done.”

While Operation Roundup netted 11 arrests, the CCSO is still looking for three individuals on drug charges.

Brandon James Bartlette, 19, of Alcolu is wanted on one count of distribution of an imitation controlled substance.

 

 

Marquel Demone Grant, 19, of Alcolu is wanted on one count of distribution of marijuana.

 

 

Darryl Joshua Watson, 32, of Summerton is wanted on one count of distribution of crack cocaine-second offense.

Deputies hit two homes in the Barrineau Trailer Park in the New Zion area with search warrants simultaneously.

Nancy Wheeler Pearson, 63, was arrested at a home on Quince Lane on charges of distribution of a Schedule II controlled substance and distribution of a Schedule IV controlled substance.

 

Gregory D. Pearson, 17, was arrested at the same address on Quince Lane on one charge of simple possession of marijuana.

 

 

Sabrina R. Peterson, 28, was arrested at a home on Jarrett Drive on two counts of distribution of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

 

Len Lecoler Porter, 30, was arrested at the same address on Jarrett Drive on two counts of distribution of marijuana-second offense and possession with intent to distribute marijuana-second offense.

 

 

Deputies also hit the Barrineau area of Clarendon County.

Brenda B. Culick, 50, was arrested on a search warrant at a home on Barrineau Road on two counts of distribution of a Schedule III controlled substance and possession of Schedule III controlled substance.

 

Henry J. Floyd, 65, was arrested on two counts of distribution of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.

 

 

Mark Q. Floyd, 44, was arrested for distribution of a Schedule III controlled substance.

 

 

Mendy Kay Porter, 33, was arrested on two counts of distribution of a Schedule IV controlled substance. One of the two counts was for Williamsburg County.

 

 

Two arrests were made in the Turbeville area.

James A. Burrows Jr., 29, was arrested on one count of distribution of a Schedule III controlled substance and one count of distribution in proximity of a park or school of a Schedule III controlled substance.

 

 

Barbara A. McFadden, 60, was arrested on two counts of distribution of a Schedule IV controlled substance.

 

 

One arrest was made in the Summerton area.

Eliza M. Singletary, 59, was arrested on two counts of distribution of a Schedule IV controlled substance.

 

 

Schedule II controlled substances include the following drugs: fentanyl, methadone, morphine, oxycodone and oxymorphone.

Schedule III controlled substances include pentobarbital and benzphetamine.

Schedule IV controlled substances include barbital, diazapam and difenoxin.
